Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, Dr. Kohl is a summa cum laude graduate of Youngstown State University. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree at Northwestern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Akron, Ohio. Dr. Kohl completed his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Kresge Eye Institute, Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
His many accolades include multiple scholarship awards and the Award for Compassionate Medicine from the Kresge Eye Institute.
His interest in glaucoma and excellent credentials brought him to the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School in Boston for an advanced fellowship in glaucoma.
Dr. Kohl is board Certified and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Kohl provides the latest technology in glaucoma treatment and performs cataract surgery.
Aside from publishing and presenting numerous research articles on glaucoma, Dr. Kohl has received many honors including, Doctor of Distinction 2008, GFWC Boca Raton, Florida Super Doctor’s 2008, South Florida Edition, Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, 2005. He is also a member of the Palm Beach County Ophthalmology Society.
During his time out of the office, Dr. Kohl has a passion for golf and also enjoys snow skiing and traveling. |
